The only readable mark is the maker's mark, but that might be enough to date it.

The mark is a style typical of early marks. Has anyone time to search this out?

My book of Old Silver shows a mark like this belonging to William Scarlett entered on 1697 in London. A brief internet search came up with this .... does it look the same to you? From http://www.silvermakersmarks.co.uk/Makers/London-SA-SC.html#SC

If you had 2 toilets not mounted to the floor...though cumbersome and heavy and not at all comfortable nor pink and fuzzy (well)..........those could be 'slipper' toilets....no?:rolleyes:

    I'll go for Will Scarlett.

Dognose is transitional from trefid to hanoverian, and Britannia silver at this time.
