agreed - a red dining room calls for upholstery in a smooth, creamy yellow with a touch of dark green in the patterned draperies...................

I think emerald green would be delightful. Georgian colours can be surprisingly strong to our eyes: colour chips taken from old London houses are amazing.

 

Such as the blue (and I mean BLUE) in the drawing room that HRH Charles saved a bit back...................what what the name of that house? Iw as one of the last intact Georgian estates and the furniture was literally in the removal van on its way to the auctioneers when HRH stepped in and saved it. I understand it is not doing as well as expected as a stand alone business, but there is still the hope of preserving it.
