Antique and Unique Farm Table

    For a number of years our dining room table was used by butchers at a nearby Amish meeting house in Lancaster County PA. They would butcher and prepare for preservation meats on it. It was indeed a work table.
    The legs were 'heavy' like yours but just bulbous feet. It had end and side
    lateral stretchers connected to the legs (a bear to try to pull a chair up to) and the top was made of 2 boards with butterfly dovetails holding them together. It was particularly narrow, probably 30". The whole thing was made out of beautiful walnut once it was cleaned up although you could still see knife/saw/hatchet marks on the top.

    When I saw your table, I thought it looked so familiar.
