Any information???

Hi!

I'm thinking of buying this painting, but I'm not 100% sure yet. I can't identify the artist and I can't read the name.

Does anybody know something about this painting/artist? And possibly what you would think it could be worth? The seller can't give me any info either.

It is a pretty large painting, possibly 90cm x 50cm or so.

I believe that this is a factory painting. No way to tell who the artist is. If you like it--then buy it. Don't over pay for it.

 

The signature might be "T. Clarke"?

 

Could be, "T. Clarke" is one name that I haven't identified out of this signature yet.
I will try google and maybe something comes up.......or not.

 

Thanks for your reply! May I ask why you think his might be a factory painting? I'm new to all this and I only learn more about art if people give me tips.

 

The factory paintings are usually not high quality and the stroke techniques are not well executed. Just my opinion.

 

I worked in a shop that sold factory paintings. This is one of them. No real artist - just a person in a factory who signed in a scrawl.

Some artists signatures are really hard to read, but all of the mass produced art has impossible names and signatures. We would have dozens of these that looked exactly alike in two or three different sizes. They're basically decorator items.

 

It's also called Sofa Art for that reason
