    Hello to all at Antiquers!

Please can anyone help provide some more information on any of the pieces shown in the photos. I understand the mug is Richard Godfrey. I'm also looking to get a rough value of the pieces as they are getting good interest on ebay but don't want them to go too cheap.

Any help would be very much appreciated. ummmm, this is not really a site to value your items, and if you have already listed them on eBlech....before 1st coming here to have us help you discover what the items are......then it's a little late in the day to worry about them going for less than than you've already listed them for....

    btw.....getting good interest....in this market....is a good sign.... isn't it ?????

Just my humble opinion but I dont see much that stands out. The mug is the most interesting thing to me. I always feel like something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If they cost you nothing then hey,$5-10 is all profit. For example the Arabia of finland china is all over the map price wise.So how do you decide the price where you dont screw yourself out of a sale ?

I'm not seeing the mug on ebay. OP, are you selling these as a lot or individually? Just asking out of curiousity because if you're selling as a lot, that's gonna be quite a bit to ship.

OP, if you plan on selling on ebay, you need to research your items before listing. Without a good title on your auction, you can't expect people to find your items - there is just too much stuff on ebay these days for people to wade through.

Your best bet is to research and then check ebay for "Sold" items to see what $$ they'll garner. And don't start your auctions at .99 and just hope someone comes across it and you get a good price. The only .99 auction I do now is for an item that I know is very wanted or for some of my jewelry lots.

Thank you very much to everyone who has taken time to reply with your helpful advice. I completely agree with komokwa comments and I will take that on board to seek advice beforehand - I moreso was hoping to get a rough guide on value than an accurate valuation so I have an idea of what to expect. I will ask advice before listing next time. I am indeed selling altogether as it often works better for me to bulk considering amount of items I need to go through in my collection to sell more items in one go.

the plate is by Arabia Pottery in Finland - the name of the pattern is Kuutamo / Blue Sunflower - it is Mid Century Modern MCM and the artist is Hilkka Liisa Ahola thus the HLA mark on the back...

sidenote - this board doesn't suggest values - what I recommend is to do the research work first - then type in your info to eBay and then select sold items to see what the ballpark value might be...

I found your listing but I'm thinking you should have put the Richard Godfrey in the title and I don't see it mentioned anywhere or the base shown. The Godfrey mugs in completed sold for £49 each.

The other thing, I'm not really seeing anything I'd call fat lava as in your title. You might want to put some of the names you have in the title for searching.

Arabia finland sells well but do an ebay search and over on the left column of the search page near the bottom you will find a box to check for sold items. then it will list items like yours that sold not just asking price. It took years to find the box to check. When I price things I usually start near the sold prices.

As tie dye states...that lot looks like a bitch to ship....
would that not discourage buyers looking for just one or two of your items ????

I understand how selling ' lots ' moves more product .....but I have to wonder in this case if individuals would garner a higher net price !!
