I see first name Martin, middle initial A, but not sure of the last name. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    Summers? Simmons?

I wonder why he signed it twice.

I think Simmons, it was already signed and buyer asked for it to be signed in front of them?

    I wonder too, Bakersgma.

To me there is a noticeable difference in the way the (capital) "S" in "Simmons" is formed, so perhaps there was a long(ish) passage of time between the two signatures.

Perhaps the first signature is when he painted it and the second signature (with date below it) is when he "presented/gifted" it to someone.

King of Things, I was organizing my thoughts and typing and revising as you were reaching the same general conclusion.

Do you agree with my seeing a noticeable difference in the handwriting of the capital "S" in "Simmons"? Just curious.

Sometimes artists re-sign a painting. I have one with two signatures.
