We all know it is a vest pocket flashlight , but it is a mystery one to me. Has anyone found one that has an image on it?,I haven't . I think it is from the 20's but could be wrong. I don't think it has a lot of value but it is unique. I thrive on researching odd items ;)

The patent refers to lights that flash. Flashbulbs. Think pocket torch, not the more modern usage flashlight.

DRP is early 20th C abbreviation for German State Patent. Very commonly seen on German origin goods. Similar to S.G.D.G on french stuff.

The scene is not unusual, much cheap metalware was imported from Germany up to the First World War.

It might be unusual, I'd bet my life it is not unique.

German, English, Italian references...and I have never seen one before either. And anything with a pink coat on it, I notice!

    :)
