Ugly Japanese Figure w/ X-Rated Bottom

Got an oddball piece here, an ugly squat figure with a surprise bottom. I think i'll let the pictures do the talking...

Any ideas on age? Is there a term or name for such a piece? Thanks for looking.

 

The term is a 'naughty'.

 

Or "risqué".

 

Possibly a 'pillow book' figure but probably a recent copy or something in the style of.

 

It looks like Shunga is the word.

There are carved, flip over Buddhas with the hidden "erotic" scene underneath, more similar to your figurine thing. But the shell is the only pottery item I can find. I don't know what your person is supposed to be...? With that fan, all I can think of is kabuki.
