I'm pretty quick to delete photos after the item is sold but I DID keep a photo of the dress that went for $500+. The other two dresses were simple cotton prints. One went for almost $300 and the other for about $75. The buyer of this red dress said she'd been searching for it for over 12 years. It had about sixty watchers by the time the auction ended.
    ~~happy dance~~

And here is a find that I think is unusual: a Stella Brevettata travel espresso maker. I see a few on the internet whose owners claim they are from the 1930s. I can't really find out much about it, though. Anyone know anything about these?

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Score! My mother has a Cissy doll in her collection and occasionally I've bought her a dress. They are expensive.

I always find MA dolls redressed in not-original clothing. I think the clothes are harder to find than the actual dolls.

I continue to mostly buy cheap furniture. Thrift store finds unless indicated otherwise.

This adjustable height school desk has an interesting granite-look porcelain top. Bought for $7.95. The chrome industrial stool was $10.00.

This bookcase was already painted like this other than the little yellow medallion at the top that I painted. Took some sandpaper to the rest and gave it a coat of paste wax. Bought for $8.95.

This kitchen cabinet needed paint and some touch up to the porcelain. This is the after photo. Sorry, no before photo but it was just plain off-white. Interestingly, there was a note on the side of the drawer indicating that it had been repainted coppertone in 1965 so it has some age to it. Could see the coppertone under the white paint, on the back, and inside. Would have been a good look for it. Bought for $15.00.

This walnut nightstand was $10.00. It had some veneer chips to the drawer and needed a back. I filled the chips and painted the drawer. Put a back on the bottom half only to enclose the drawer. Just touched up the finish on the rest.

The green bench was $5.00 at auction. Had to glue the foot and just distressed and waxed the rest.
    stuff1133.jpg

Picked up this 30" x 13" old decorative unsigned oil on board for $3.95. It is a little rough but the price was right.

Lastly, picked up this double swag light for $4.00. Should sell to the Hollywood Regency crowd on ebay.

Bear, let us know what styles you have- I am sold three cat pins a few years ago, and I was fascinated by all the styles Lea created. I believe there are also patterns with the names. A good place to see examples is ebay. I sold a green/white/red harlequin Sascha and a turquoise blue Gomina and a brown Gomina. ENJOY! Show us pictures!

That's Brazilian, not Portguguese. The giveaway is the MG - Minas Gerais.
