Featured Native American Jewelry ?

I have collected some jewelry that might be Native American, but I don't know for sure. A couple are really iffy. These are things that I am not going to keep, but before I sell them, I want to make sure if any are NA.

The first is small, maybe for a child. 2 1/2 inches across the widest part. It is simple coral and a feather bracelet. It is marked F Sterling:






The earrings appear to be modern - actually more recent following current styles. They are stamped MM.







The third is a simple tube and turquoise bead bracelet marked CG? in Script and 925.

 

Your third bracelet (tube beads), has the mark for Carlisle Jewelry of Albuquerque. A southwestern jewelry manufacturing shop that was later acquired by Carolyn Pollack (or her husband ... I can't remember which). I only recently had to research this mark myself so it was fairly easy to recall.

 

Perfect. So Southwestern style. I see this bracelet would be called liquid turquoise style? Thank you.

Liquid silver?
Not sure if that term would be used for this bracelet because of the round silver beads between each tube. I may be too restrictive in what I call "liquid silver" though .... hopefully others will weigh in on this.

 

I saw it referred to as that is a couple of adds with turquoise beads but I can just call it a what one ad for the same bracelet did - "925 Sterling Silver Blue Turquoise Beaded Bracelet 7" Vintage"

 

The little bracelet is Very sweet!!!

this is what is usually referred to as liquid silver, multiple strands of fine sterling beads. I believe the beads in liquid silver would be skinnier than in your bracelet, though it is hard to tell scale from the pictures. Also yours has the intermittent round beads and turquoise beads that you wouldn't see in liquid silver.

 

I have one of those that I wear all the time.

 

I think the coral is prob Navajo but all are best sold as Southwestern and anything with coral gets looked at. Just saw that the coral was identified as Anglo…

 

You might want to also look at Fannie Platero, Native American Navajo for first bracelet. Very similar. I really don't know. They both look good.

 

I’m goin’ back here with you LOL. I think it is Navajo but IMO why play with internet fire? Just safer to list as Southwestern. Good find. I honestly didn’t look anything up.

Excellent. I appreciate this. There are such small differences in these signatures, but the one you found looks more like mine. The other had small round balls at the end of the letter. The word Sterling looks good too. Thank you.

 

I will list it then as Southwestern. I'm not interested in getting a bad reputation.

 

Southwest is the best when you aren't sure. I think the F is a little too crisp to be Fanny's mark.
