Anyone Have Any Clue of What This Pin Represents?

I'm sorry if I posted this before; if I did, it was a long time ago.

I spend too much time on mysteries like this, but I hate not having an answer to something (just see my taco dog post to see what I mean). I'm hoping someone will just recognize what the left part of the pin is supposed to represent. Thanks!

I could swear I had something like this and posted it here, but for the life of me can't recall the answer. Seemed like it might have been fraternal, college...something like that??

Hopefully someone will come to the rescue with an answer. :)

Looks like a sorority pin & the triangles looked like deltas to me. There is a delta delta delta (tri-delta) sorority old enough, but their symbols do not match this.

    A stylised letter "A"?

Has something been scratched to the right? Pretty sure I see an "M" there, and possibly some preceding letters.

Looks like a K in the middle to me.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I think this is the correct orientation. In order for the chain to hang downward without getting in the way of the pin or arching, it looks like it would go this way.

Yeah, I was thinking fraternity or college as well. It's just such an odd shape; I can't even begin to imagine what it represents.

Delta is an interesting avenue, even if it's not for the delta sorority.

I'm not sure where you mean. On the symbol or on the 32? I don't see anything but maybe I'll whip out the loop again just in case. I can't believe there's no marking at all on the pin.

    Upside down "v"?

    Another interesting input. Thank you.

I was paging through my notes, and I found a slip of paper that says, "32 degree free mason pin?" and "scottish rite?". It wasn't actually with the pin, but I'm sure that's what the note was referring too. I'm also sure my question marks mean that I didn't actually confirm it in the form of another pin like mine.

I did find also a Delta Sigma Mu fraternity pin with the same exact art deco "32", so now I have no idea which direction to pursue - fraternity or masonic. I'm just going to put the pin aside for now.

If I find another pin like this one to confirm its origins, I'll be sure to update.

    Thanks everyone
