Hi folks! Looking for any information on this little mold. It measures 2 1/8" x 2 3/8" x 3/4". No markings of any kind. Back is unglazed. I'm not sure if it's just decorative or actually useful for something. It's heavy for its size. Thanks for any info.

I would use it as a spoon rest (teaspoon-sized spoon, of course) or as a place to deposit the used teabag after making a single cup. That may not be the original purpose, but it would work for me!

I like the tea bag idea.

Hi komokwa - thanks for trying. A key chain actually crossed my mind but I think it would get chipped up pretty quickly.

Me too Don......but I found what looked like several examples where porcelain is on a key chain.....& I can't figure out the loop at the top of yours !

If not a keychain, maybe a necklace ....or had a ribbon on it ???

I see I'm not the only night owl! Your suggestion is brilliant. With a long ribbon it would make a nice pendant but with a short ribbon it would make a neat tree ornament! Thanks for keeping my creative juices flowing! Don

IMO, it's too large and chunky to be a pendant.

I don't think anyone picked up on what Mansons said? My guess is it's a butter pat mold, with the loop meant for hanging and/or for holding.

I'm sorry, Pat, I should have reported back. I did explore the possibility that it was a working mold but didn't get very far. On pinterest I found another one just like mine listed as a mold. It was apparently on ebay for $29.99 about a year ago, but that's too far back for me to access to see if any more info was listed.
