Nice bookends Luci.....I think the glasses are possibly shooters target gear.

Sure looks like. They're sold for night driving too - the lenses are polarized to cut glare.

Speaking of having to get up too early...the pin is missing a stone, but it's 10k and the other stones are real. The cross isn't tested yet, but I'm betting it's gold too. It looks Turkish or maybe Israeli and definitely hand made. And old. The cross is only a bit over an inch long.

Marked "solid silver" on the clip end of the watch chain. I'm not sure whether it's sterling or something else.

Lucille...try "muddlers" for the things with the fishing flies.

Muddlers are used to smash fruit or what have you in a drink and they are also a type of fly fishing lure.

    Makes sense.

Bingo, Skeezix! Definitely muddlers. That keyword is probably the difference between them selling and not selling. Thanks!

    Just a pen clip

    PAT 2-8-10

Only took about an hour to trace it to Levi Van Valkenberg's patent

Evelyn, the cross looks like the real deal to me, including the emeralds!

I hit two very good estate sales this week, but something is wrong, I think I need a new mouse, will have to show when this is all fixed.

This is the couch I bought at the 50% off day at an estate sale on the way to Cape May a few weeks ago. It was love at first sight. It is carved oak, over 7 feet long, they originally wanted $600, got it for $300. I absolutely love it..... looking for a tall ottoman to rest my feet. This replaced $2,500 worth of defective junk new furniture. Since my mouse is a tad off, the colors are a tad off. Couch.jpg

One more post until I get my computer/mouse fixed. Estate sale find Thursday. There was a note in the box that this brooch was purchased on the couple's honeymoon in the 1930s. Original box.

    Hi Marko,
I stayed at the Hotel Taft when I went to the Worlds Fair in 1964.
Next to the couch is that a blue glass table?
