French Binoculars

    My limited research shows these from the early 1900's I think. Other than that I have little information on them. They are fairly clear and focus.

    Both eye cups are marked this way, and that is the only markings I can find on them.

    Those are pretty close, little different in the eye pieces.

    From what I remember - "Chevallier" means 'Knight' in French (from which we get the word 'Chivalry').

    I would estimate between 1890-1910, but it's very hard to date these things.

    And cheval means horse, from which we get chevalier, cavalier & cavalry. :)
