I went for it. With free shipping to boot, I can do a metals test when it gets here and see if I can do some more research for it. Even as vintage vs antique I really keep going back to look at the design. This will be so much fun to wear.

Thank you everyone for your inputs!

    Wonderful!

Detail from one of my Palestinian bracelets:

Another one, with a Czech glass cabochon (and out of focus:rolleyes:):

These are gorgeous. I like how the patina highlights the design even more.

    Aahhh! Another patina lover! :joyful:
I hate when some sellers willing to do well thoroughly polish the piece before shipping:nailbiting:

Any's bracelet wasn't meant to be polished everywhere; the black was left in the background by the maker. Anyone who cleans that out ought to be spanked. The pin could be Turkish too, just to throw another name into the hat.

Inh already threw that one into the hat. You know how she is, you think you've found something, only to find a sign 'inh woz here'.:playful:

Figures. I plead sleep deprivation, and am guilty of posting with half my brain off line. Pretty normal, actually, come to think. Or not think.

It arrived and it’s beautiful.

I scrubbed off the back in an effort to read the mark better. Totally does still look like MO 1000. There’s also what looks like a crown but maybe it’s just a really weird scratch. The cabochon has a nice stripe of light that ripples too. I’m having trouble catching it in the picture but it’s the same effect as the marble pic I’ve attached. It’s going to be right at home with my other pins. :shame:

    It certainly is!:)
That is called chatoyancy or cat's eye effect. It could be selenite. Some types of glass have chatoyancy as well.

Moonglow plastics do chatoyance - and there's also artificial star sapphires.

In that case, @BMRT , is the stone cold or warm to the touch?

It is silver but you might have to do so searching for marks. What does the 'animal' look like?

That means it is not plastic, so either stone or glass.

I thought there might be one, but Holly said it was a burst casting bubble. Sorry for the confusion, All! :)
