I have an old antique mirror that has been in my family for as long as I can remember. It is mercury and as far as I can tell is late 18 or early 19th century. It is 6’ tall and 28” wide, mirror itself is about 5’ tall. I have pictures (my profile pic is one) but the files are apparently too large for this thread. I can send them along to anyone who is interested. I was hoping someone might be able to tell me anything about this mirror and if it has any value.

    Thank You.

We do need photos. Just resize your photos and post. (There are image resizing apps.) Somewhere there is a thread about posting photos to the forum. Sounds huge and lovely!

From your profile picture I’d say that you have a gilded Rococo Revival pier mirror ca. 1850-70. From its flat bottom I’d venture to say that it originally sat on a short marble-topped shelf on legs that was a foot or two tall and as wide as the mirror frame, similarly styled.
With the pier table and mirror together the piece might be worth about $2K. This presupposes that an interested customer could accommodate the piece’s height, possibly more than 8 feet. Without the pier shelf/table, value would be less, maybe $500 or a bit more, depending on the market.
At least that’s my take from looking at your small photo
