Can you help identify this chair!

I was wondering if anyone could help me date this chair or have any more information about it?

I inherited it off my great aunt but I don't know anything about where she got it from. She had it upholstered, that's all I know.

I believe it's a nursing chair but could perhaps be a 'bedroom chair' or childrens chair?

Any help would be really appreciated.

 

yes i would call that a curule nursing chair or a consulat curule side chair

 

Hard to tell age with the new upholstery. Could be as early as the 30s or fairly modern. It is based on an ancient Roman form so style is classic. This has the feel of an occasional lounge chair so wouldn't be too quick to dub it a nursing chair.

I like the upholstery that your great aunt chose. Maybe some would say it should be a darker color but I like the contrast.
