Featured THRIFT STORE FIND!! TELL ME THIS IS A AUTHENTIC CARTIER LOVE BRACELET?!

OK, I saw this at the jewelry counter at a local thrift store - someone else was looking at it & wondering out loud (in Spanish) if it was gold or not. The clerk didn't know (like him since it didn't say 14k or 18k she thought it was silver).
When he asked me I … um... OK, I fibbed... & said I didn't know either; hoping he would put it back(!).
Finally someone else came up & when asked he said he thought it was silver too.
At that point he gave it back - the $99.95 price was too much he said.
I told the clerk I wanted it because the Cartier name was worth the price!

So, is it a real 18kt gold Cartier love bracelet - or a fake? (I am going to take it to a friend's pawn shop to test the gold content tomorrow, but am curious as heck what you'all think?

If real it's a heck of a home run! But if a copy, then I'll accept it as a God smack (not the band!) for lying to the first guy.

When I googled it I also saw and read a couple of "How to spot a fake Cartier love bracelet" articles - and it looks to me like it's the real thing!
Any thoughts?

 

Boy, prices are all over the place on Ebay from thousands to not that much. Not sure what that means. Would think if it is 18K gold the melt down alone would mean this was worth getting.

But here is one that sold pretty inexpensively... PLEASE do additional research. Hope yours turns out good.

I don’t feel it authentic... gold testing will say at least what metal it is

 

Totally illegal to use the brand name and advertize for repros!
Some time ago, a huge load of fake Cartier watches seized by customs was crushed under a heavy roll in front of cameras

 

They say they are gold plated - not sure if authorized, but I put a copy of something on ebay once - AND SAID IT WAS A COPY - and it was taken down & I was threatened with a suspension!

 

? The real ones are 18kt gold & sell for $3k - $5k

Do we know what the gold one weighs?

Because titanium is a lot lighter, so a weight comparison might be helpful.

 

Need more close-up photos: screws inside and out, open mechanism, etc.
Weight should be between 30-38 grams.
There should also be a size number stamped inside: 16, 17, 18, 19, or 20.
