Signature On Oil Painting

    Picked up this oil painting today and was wondering if anyone might know the signature. My first thought was Suarez, but that does not seem to be right. Also has the numbers 54 below signature so I am assuming 1954. There is also a gallery tag on back. Painting measures 28 3/4" by 23 3/4". Thanks

    It looks like Suarez to me, too.

    If I wanted to find out about the pic I would probably see if that gallery still exists, get their email, and email them your questions in French and in English. The gallery was and maybe is still in Paris.

    I found what I believe is the gallery and have sent them an email with pictures, But I thought i would still post to the board just in case someone recognized the artist.
