    hi all, This looks kinda like a Hummel but there only 2864 on bottom.. are all hummels marked?

    not my area, but I know there were a LOT of hummel look alikes, so I think your instinct is right. [edit: i.e.,...that it's not a Hummel, since there are a lot of look alikes]

    A four digit code in red usually indicates Japanese production

    Japanese copy of Hummel.
    Many out there.

    Yes real Hummels should be marked.
