    IMG_0284.JPG We picked this up yesterday almost on a whim as it was on sale. I've looked all over the web and have entered the photo in a web ID photo match..nothing :(
    Any help would be appreciated. Style/age/whatever.

    Looks like a mid 20th century rocker, mahogany stain. Solid!

    It's sort of a variation on a Windsor rocker with 1980's style shoulders (borrowed from Joan Collins).

    Right, there were no tags or markings underneath so it was hard to tell.

    Is the seat solid? Can you get a close up of the bows on the back? Are they inlaid or painted.

    I think this may be earlier that what others are saying.

    The seat appears to be 4 pieces meshed together. The bows appear to have small abalone circles in the middle of each of the 5 bows, but I don't know how to tell if the bows are inlaid or painted as there is no texture to them like there is a slight texture with the small abalone like circles.
    I can try posting a close up of the bows tomorrow if need be.

    Not a repro, just a mid 20th century rocker using traditional design elements.

    Assuming real inlay, I also think Edwardian or so.

    The seat isn't solid.
    I was thinking more 1920s.

    Oh I see you said "or so"

    The arms look right for 1960s or so, but wrong for 1920s. The inlay looks painted.

    @verybrad
    Looks like real inlay to me.

    Doubt they would have done that in the 1960s.
    Are you somewhere other than the US?
    Might not be an American rocker.
