Featured Weird box thing~no idea why it does this

I got this from the booty on weekend,with my other stash...why does it open this way? It sort of slides totally out xx

It's quite small,about 4 inches down and three and a half length and the depth is about half an inch xx

What is it for? Does it have a purpose?

Lovely, Bou, very nice, sleek design. I think it is a 1930s-40s cigarette box.

They were very popular in the 1970s as a "stash" box for your marijuana.

AJ, thank you...I thought maybe 30s ish...it's so cute ( and quite small! Which is good as it takes not much space so it can stay :O )

 

It could go on a book shelf couldn't it? And wouldn't look out of place ( which would be handy if something norty was stashed in it)

 

Of course it could, it is beautiful, so it should be on display. Nice warm colour wood, and nice design.

Greg and Brad and I make 3 !Perfect for joints. I had one almost exactly like that that had a separate slot for a teeker and you kept your pre broken up pot in the other side. Ah the 80s .
