Cameo trinket box??

Any lnfo? Worth purchasing? Cute but a bit worn....

 

I agree, cute. What does the bottom look like? How much are they asking?

 

The cameo is resin, i.e., artificial. 'Worth buying' is a matter of what they want for it & what you want it for.

 

I'm getting all nostalgic now. It reminds me of my grandmother's chocolate tin for 'cameo' chocolates, which had a repoussé of a Javanese girl on it. It resembled a cameo as well, and had the same colours as your box.
I just found some in good condition on a Dutch site, so I am off to bid.

These are the tins, the designs around the edges are Javanese as well. I put a bid in for the rectangular one, it was in the best condition:

 

Those are cute. I'm betting the OP's, btw, is Florenza. They made costume jewelry and assorted small dressing table/dresser pieces and bits for in a lady's purse.

 

This particular cameo has only been showing up on eBay for the last few years. Is Florenza still in business?

 

No idea, but the metalwork sure looks like theirs, and that velvet inside is straight 70s if not a hair earlier.

 

Seller claims this one is from Japan, but doesn't show a mark.

Different seller, also says Japanese with no support.

 

That could be, or Taiwanese; they made the boxes too.
