Hey @Any Jewelry and board friends,
IMG_20190525_210639102_BURST001-2137x1603.jpg IMG_20190525_210614049-2137x1603.jpg IMG_20190525_210847421_HDR-2137x1603.jpg IMG_20190525_210823919_HDR-1603x2137.jpg IMG_20190525_210930709_HDR-2137x1603.jpg IMG_20190525_210911879_HDR-2672x2004.jpg got these two pieces in an auction lot. I was thinking Sterling but I don't know... Do you know this maker Mark? And what would this have been for?

    Thanks. Really appreciate this board

I suspect silver plated salt cellars with their appropriate spoons, but we'll need a closer look at the marks

    And dimensions would help too.

    The marks are illegible.

Try using the macro facility on a camera.

After looking at a few pictures of that, I think you are right on. Will be uploading clearer photos of the marks asap

Well I can't identify the maker, I can tell you that these are French silver plate - the shape of the cartouches and the number 20 in the smaller square are key indicators.

Thank you. Very good info. Do you have any idea the approximate time something like this would have been made?

I'd like to see them assembled and photographed at an angle (not from the top elevation)

They look unusual, a little modernist with those deep sterling bases.

Or a coke can for scale. They may be larger than salts.

Ha no,I just don't know where I put the measuring tape and haven't taken the time to search.

They are definitely the size of a salt cellar.

Probably about an inch to 1.5" in diameter

Apple for scale. The little glass toppers feel like if pulled upward they'd click and hold for a nice larger dome effect however they will not stay up IMG_20190526_080059689-2137x1603.jpg IMG_20190526_080151353-2137x1603.jpg IMG_20190526_080117559-2137x1603.jpg

Those glass bowls should be inside to protect the silver plated metal from the corrosive salt. Do they not fit inside as inserts?

Turn it upside down from how they are?

They may fit. Just left for the beach for the day. Can mess with them again this evening
