Bev, I immediately thought of wind chimes and perhaps rain chains. The keys would obviously be easiest to work with, but perhaps a lock or locks could be used as the top "fastener" for wind chimes and/or rain chains.

    Just thinking out loud. ;)

I forgot to comment on the locks but even though they may not all be weldable they can likely be braised or soldered together so...
Maybe a figure running or some such?

    Hi Messi,
Looking at your post I was suddenly thrown back in time. Remember the lucite toilet seats with embedded stuff? I had one that was filled with rusted barb wire and razor blades. Perhaps Bev could fill molds with the locks and use them for lamps. I am sure if she offered them as craft pieces the steampunk people would find a use for them. I have garden art made of old wrenchs shaped into "bugs" and other things. I think a trellis filled with old locks would look great.

Thank you cxgirl...I've really slowed down on buying anything other than canvas and paints. I'll peek my head around once in a while.

Very true, they are never the same. I have found I like this style but once in a while, my eyes like something not so abstract.

Semi attached, yes, as I am just getting started and I really enjoy them. Not saying that one day I will not let go.

Hope you have a lovely day.

I don't know how to braise metal, but I have plenty of it to work with. This is only the shop. There's more in the garage and the storage unit. In 38 years he's never thrown anything away. 2015-06-10 16.19.09 (800x800).jpg 2015-06-10 16.18.55 (600x800).jpg
