Featured Snakeskin compact

    I think it’s snake anyway!
    Marked only Made in Great Britain inside. It’s handbag shaped although it doesn’t look it from the photos!
    Any thoughts on who may have manufactured it or when?

    It won't be forties, our factories were a tad occupied with other things then. I think it's a little later from the style and innards and the puff: early 50s. The usual suspects are Kigu and Stratton, but they usually mark. And Stratton has a patented clever catch. Is there anything under the powder guard?

    Solved!. Made by Mascot. Differences but plenty of similarities. The mascot logo is only visible on my powder puff once you know it is there.
