silver & amber ring?

    Picked this ring and a couple others from a thrift store today all for 2 bucks, I think its amber but wanted other opinions. Looks cloudy and green under uv, warm to touch but I know enough to be dangerous!:cigar::cigar::cigar:

    Amber mounted that open in a ring wouldn't last a few days without serious damage to the "stone".

    I see no fluorescence in the UV photos, so no amber, sorry. Maybe bakelite?
    A dark colour amber like that would look something like this under UV:

    I see 925 at the beginning... but can't tell the rest.

    It looks like 925 CTX but even under the microscope its a bit blobby.

    925 STG, both stand for sterling silver.

    It looks a little like carnelian, but it would be cold to the touch if it is.

    Did the hot pin test (I know not recommended) and a definite resin smell.
