Featured Hello...I quit buying paintings and started making my own.

I use to collect paintings but took some time off to study art by looking at pieces in galleries and such. In this time, I started to do art myself. I would like to thank everyone for pushing me into seeing what art is. During my time away, I was invited to an exhibition in Sicily but was unable to attend. My art is not in just one particular style. I do abstracts, etc. I've been told that I create realization art. I've taken down all the paintings I've collected and now have my own on the walls. This is one of my latest pieces. I'm not trying to sell a piece, etc...I'm just wanting to say Thank you to everyone that helped open my eyes to art. I appreciate what everyone has said, for the push!

I never seen any notices pop up in my mail.... Ya, I slowed down for sure on buying art, I was buying them for all the wrong reasons, the name, the money... I wasn't feeling the paintings...thanks though for asking Gregsglass!

 

Hey Springfld, you may say that about my piece, that's fine...the thing that I've learned, as an artist, it's doesn't matter what other people think...it's not about how straight a line was drawn, how perfectly shaded an area was done, how PERFECT a piece is...what matters, is that the piece speaks to the artist themselves...if the passion is there from the artist, that's all that matters, sorry you don't see it!
