Looks like a raser? But seems more for decoration? My guess, not that old. Can anyone tell me more about it? Goal? Age?
I've taken the liberty of reposting your photograph as Full Image rather than Thumbnail. That makes it easier for everyone to see. Debora
Thumb can be tapped for big, isn't it? I thought tumb was good, as i see that forum-option regularly. Sorry. Thanks.
Clear indeed. Didn't know what to expect, although i knew this gillette type was 1900 at most. Still a time span from over 100 years. But yet pleased that it isn't worthless rubbish. Thanks both for your great help.
Caveat: The link is to a current eBay listing. That is an asking price, not a sold price. Also, yours appears to be missing the shaving brush so it is incomplete. That likely would effect value. Debora
That eBay listing is missing the brush to. Nice comparative material this way. At least now i know what i can ask if i would ever want to sell it. Without any expectations what i will eventually get off course. Still happy (also with that ebay link). At least my evaluation of some quality (sturdy, heavy) and not totally rubish is confirmed. Thanks for the clear completion.
I believe yours is brass not copper. It would make a difference in your search. Generally it is good to try a google search first and then post. often times i post to get the words i need if unsuccessful google search. If you search copper razor you get weird ones . if you search for brass razor and stand you get hundreds . Then you can also see values.
Couldn't find it. Wouldn't say brass, and we here quicker name it copper. Otherwise i woodn't have asked. Sorry. Yes, Google gives answer on almost all questions.
