I do not have a picture yet but I bought one of these at a goodwill for $2.99 I was shocked to google it and see that one was auctioned at Christie's with an auction estimate of $2200-$2500 GBP and another one for sale online for $1200 my question is is this cocktail shaker really worth that much
    TIA Bryan

I know it is the same as the ones online I just can't figure why a silverplate cocktail shaker is worth so much. Sorry kind of excited

Bernard Rice CO made different types with similar looks - some valued at 30$, some others valued at over 1000$ - so really need a pic of the OP's shaker to identify it.

The photograph from Christie's doesn't have a handle or a spout so maybe the shape has something to do with it? Nice find for $2.99!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Nice! In a different thread there was a link to an article that says that Christie's won't take consignments for articles valued less than $10,000. So you might be out of luck on that one. ;)
