Featured Old prayer book of some sort

I have this old book I think it’s a prayer book it looks like Arabic or something like that if someone knows what it is and can help translate it that would be awesome. Thank you

 

Arabic reads from right to left, like Hebrew, so bound books are the right way up when the side that opens is on the left, i.e., you're showing it upside down.

Turn the book so the large writing in the photo just above is the other way up. IM Translate tells me it's Arabic for Holy Quran.

It is a nice Quran, looks like it has commentaries as well. It is not antique, but beautiful nonetheless. If there is a mosque near you, you can ask someone there to have a look at it.

Now that I know its a quran Im going to have to get rid of it as its against my religious beliefs (Im Jewish) But if theres anybody interested in it I would love to give it away rather than throw it out. Please message me as soon as possible if your interested otherwise I will throw it out tomorrow.

 

Please donate the book to a local mosque, library, or to the Goodwill or similar charity shop. The Quran is a sacred text. How would you feel if someone threw a copy of the Torah into the garbage?

 

I think you should donate it rather than toss it out. That seems disrespectful. Why not just drop it off at a donation center?

Edit: Also, the book might be considered Shaimos according to Jewish law if it contains Hashem's name, even if it's a language other than Hebrew.
