    Seems like a good guess to me. The way it is written as 'West-Germany' is not something I recall seeing & suggests to me the label was made at a time when they were still becoming accustomed to referring to themselves that way.

    I don't mean to sound negative.
    But that looks like a typed label that anyone could have applied.

    The molded felt lined innards look later than 1950s.

    Is there anything inside the box or on any of the chips to back it up?

    No I don’t see any other markers there was a plastic game card inside it said made in Hong Kong but I don’t know if it came with the set or not E294232D-0BCF-4F86-B321-6AE0D9F49926.jpeg

    Are you sure it's a poker set? It looks more like gambling chips and that insert is not for poker, just wondering.

    My guess? Baccarat chips. Rectangular plaques for high denominations, and the fact that only one set of colors is present pretty much makes this the only choice.

    Label looks fine to me, for sure.

    I’m not sure what they were I took a guess at poker chips I got them out of a storage unit I bought

    typical gas station set. sold everywhere along the highways in the late 50s and 60s and even later on the Italian autostradas.

    If this is part of the set, it says made in Hong Kong.

    Believe we were importing heavily from Hong Kong in the late 60s early 70s
