Oops, sorry nuff. ;) I'm not an Akro guru, but it does look to be one of their marbles, and the cullet could well be the same source.

I know there is a marble collector/expert on Etsy. He is on the team Etsy Pickers and Sellers. If you join that team you can ask him/her what they think and perhaps they can help you out with an answer. There should be a thread on that team forum where it says ask the marble expert.

Every time I see the word cullet, the first thing I think of is Chicken Cutlets. :)

some great finds on here this week!

My Dad saved the whole week of editions from our local paper. He, and thousands of other Dads and Moms in the area, worked for Grumman so interest in the LEM was very high there. Put them in plastic bags and kept them in his file cabinet at home. We unearthed them while emptying Mom's house 4 years ago. Not in nearly as good shape as yours look.

Giles Vidal is better known as Guy Vidal. He was a jewelry designer who worked mostly in pewter until his studio burned in the late 1970s. I think he went back to sculpting after that.

I saw some at an estate sale this weekend but left them. I think that even kittens saved those papers... ;)
I do have my own still though too. :)

I was only three at the time, and my parents didn't save them. Oh well. I do however have a piece of teletype sent from NASA to Hamilton Standard when they actually landed on the moon. Dunno as it's worth much more than the newspapers, but it's cool.

Those were popular for a long time. Sterling? I find some of it every once in a while too, unfortunately a lot of the pieces have "died" over the years. That's a pretty one.

A Canadian 1941 quarter (no pic). Very worn. Still... an unusual find amongst 2015 pocket change.

    Hi,
I still find an occasional Canadian penny but we get a lot of visitors from up north here in the summer. You know the economy is getting bad when I am finding lots of bright almost uncirculated USA Lincoln cents from the 60s'70s.

We don't use the cent anymore , but finding US nickles dimes and quarters is a common thing...

I found a loonie in a junk box once. The US should buy all those old Canadian pennies and circulate them, but I guess that wouldn't be legal.
