I actually found almost the exact same chair on the show "the rifleman" Season 3 episode 29 (on youtube). go to 1 minute and 8 seconds area, you can see it, it looks just like mine, only it doesnt have the 3 pieces under the arms. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

also i toke a picture underneath and im pretty sure it says "5004" and under that maybe "6h6" ?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

Hi @Zach_955!! Shout out to @verybrad! AND any other furniture Gurus!!! He's just one of them!! Looks like you have a nice bent wood rocker there that you're stripping & going to refinish?? I am NOT GOOD at dating these things BUT others are, so wait for them!! And keep checking back....even tho a world wide site, the later it gets the quieter it gets!!
ALSO could you hit Edit, (you only have a limited short amount of time to do that in at this point!!) go back in to your POSTING and Click on the very TOP WORDING by the images.....where it says "post ALL IMAGES FULL SIZE"....that way even those on cell phones can see them well!! Thank you SO MUCH!!
LASTLY, WELCOME to ANTIQUERS!!!!! Hoping you have lots of stuff to post and ask about!!!!! We LOVE pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:):):):)

Thanks! yeah i stripped the paint, now listen to this.. someone at one time painted this rocker red.. talk about crazy! and then it was painted black. i stripped all the paint off, and i got new runners bc someone cut the front parts off, so got donor runners. i stained it walnut stain, i still have to clear it, literally stained it today lol. and i did set them just now to full image, for mobile users, thanks for that.

Yeah ill keep checking back, its insane though if you watch that epsisode of " the rifleman" and go to that episode and time i listed, that chair looks exactly like mine. Also i do have another chair that id love to post for you guys to look at after 30516194_550957178622740_8365537226687250432_n.jpg 30629133_551801945204930_8411545410283241472_n.jpg

Amazing refinishing Zach. A new member from Canada, @Sarmiento, is looking to do some restoration, so she might find your techniques helpful.

Your bent arm rocker dates to about 1900-1920. They were probably made in the hundreds of thousands by many companies so not surprised you found similar.

Your bow-back kitchen chair also dates circa 1900. It would have been part of a set.

I bought a very similar chair about 20 years ago. I'd love to find out more about it. I'm having trouble loading the picture. Thanks
