my name is Ludo. I am a french guy living in Japan for more than 15 years and i am really passionate in japanese antiques, specially japanese old furniture.
I love to travel around in Japan to meet furniture craftman and learn from them the history and study renovation.

Welcome, glad you joined. I love visiting Japan. I have gone for several extended work trips in Tokyo, two to three weeks at a time, then traveled by train to other parts of Japan before I come back. When I'm there I go to as many flea markets and used/consignment stores as I can on the weekends. Its always a battle to figure out how much I can bring back in my luggage. One year I found an old chest (tansu) I really wanted to bring back, but there was no way I could do it so I didn't buy it. But I always find more than enough smaller stuff to bring back.

Do you have any antique interests besides furniture? What part of Japan are you located in?
