Brass candle holder?

    anything special? probably not as anything i post is not really worth anything :) but it is nice and always worth asking

    about 17cm high , the top is just under 5cm in diameter and quite heavy for it's size

    A very nice vase or goblet.
    Is it brass or copper? It looks like copper on my screen. If copper, Persian or Afghan. If brass, Pakistan could be added to the list of suspects.:)

    it looks like old tarnished brass , if you look at the picture of the bottom and under it where the numbers are stamped it's not a copper colour

    Nice! They are probably from Kashmir, which borders on Pakistan and also has an Islamic culture, hence the Arabic script. The text could either be Islamic, so in Arabic, or Kashmiri, which can be written in a Perso-Arabic script.
