Featured Some Miscellaneous & Masonic Trinkets

Some pins and a ring, the pocket knife was in the same box, no markings on the knife but it holds up the ring nicely.
Nothing really valuable here but mildly interesting.
In clearing out a relatives house I’m discovering a lot of Masonic material and recently found some Knights Templar papers as well....still haven’t found the gold treasure lol.

check the knife ALLOVER..& the bale for any gold or GF marks..

 

i have the top center eastern star......never knew exactly what it was..
& now I can't find it either........damn it's small...

I have an uncle's Freemason membership parchment. I suppose the stuff written on it is intentionally arcane, but it must have made sense to him. One thing that's mentioned is "Commandery Knights Templar"... so I guess there's a connection.

(Horrible looking document. Whoever filled it out used a very heavy marker.)

 

I have some old ones and they’re pretty impressive, the problem is the seals they used in some of them must have some alloy(copper maybe?)in them. A couple of them are starting to turn green on the back and it looks like it may be effecting the paper in one. I’m afraid to do anything to arrest or reduce the process as not to damage the paper. It seems tricky.

 

Copper and illuminations have never gotten along. There are medieval documents where the bits painted with copper pigments are just empty holes today.

 

The one is Daughters of Rebekah. Auxiliary to Odd Fellows.

 

Stumbled onto another this last weekend. Sort of the ‘flip book’ of pendants. Has great grandfather’s name is inscribed on it but the chain is very short. I’m wondering if his widow may have worn it or something?
