Featured 1990 signed glass vase. Any help with sig?

Getting ready to list this and thought I'd see if anyone could make out the signature.

(If I posted this question before, apologies!)

 

Even if you have, it is worth seeing the vase twice (or more).

It does seem to be a fairly well made piece, someone's studio likely, not a one off. Purchased at one of my favorite estate sales. Former owner had huge collection of green antique glass, lots of jadite and uranium pieces. Clearly this is a newer piece and doesn't fit with the older, 1990s from the date, but somehow made it in with the older pieces and overall was a home with expensive items.

I keep seeing "A" followed by "i" (maybe followed by "l"??). Seems like the last letter could be a "y"?? Of course that doesn't even create a name I can google.

 

I think Bear nailed it. Mdina. Doesn't turn up here often. Comes from Malta.

 

Definitely Mdina, I've rather a lot of it. The signatures are often illegible, but if you've seen enough, unmistakable. I can't remember what this range is called.

It's based on some of the Isle of Wight stuff, this one - Michael Harris set up both furnaces. I'll see if it's in the Book.
