I think your Facebook photo hides its translucency a little bit, makes it look almost a little brash. I could see how someone casually flipping on their iPhone might skim past it.

 

Why would this be unsigned?

My first thought was Loetz - but what do I know(seriously)? Also I think that seller's asking price is fantasy.

I'm not offering the eBay listing as a 'solution'; just that it appears 'to me' from the photos provided that they are quite similar. As to the signature: one Loetz site mentions "...the major part of the Loetz production was not signed... It is commonly believed that only the pieces for export were signed. "

OH My. If only.......I'd had that 10 to 15 years ago. I can't imagine the pieces I've passed.

 

I have a Loetz vase that was imported to the US by a jewelry store who had silver overlay applied. It was not signed. I had it IDed by a Loetz collector group in Switzerland.
