Whoddunit? Cast iron crab with illegible signature

    It's cool, and it was too cheap to pass up. To this day I still can't read the signature. Can anyone else make anything out? I'm guessing Japanese but...?

    And your guess would be correct (Japanese), but the impressed mark is too worn to make out much of anything.

    Should have added...

    It appears to be a bronze model, not cast-iron.

    Or yummy, when it's the real thing instead of a hunk of metal. Land crabs are the ugliest; I'm not sure I could eat one of those. You're right about the bronze; I could have sworn I saw some rust on it, but that could be transfer.
