This Chinese Peking glass vase goes up for auction in late May. I expected to see the spurious "Qianlong Nianzhi" mark as @anundverkaufen identified that is on my two other similar vases, one I introduced here and one I bought subsequently based on your feedback on the original one. The mark on the one in question is not what I expected. This vase is more than twice as tall as my other two at 27 inches. It will probably be bid right past me, but I want to know in case I spot a similar vase and mark in the future. Can anyone help me please.

My 11 inch vase you already saw with the spurious Qianlong mark.

Oh, wow, your two vases are wonderful! The other is nice, but to my eyes not as nice as yours.

The gold flake is a bit disconcerting I agree. It is a feature in my two vases but not so obvious. For years, I have had a large onyx vase in the entryway of my house which I keep dried flowers in. It is the first thing as you enter my house. I was imagining replacing it with the new vase.

I love art glass and admire oriental art, so they are a great marriage for me and they are also from the 19th century (this is what I have gleaned from this site, as well as others), so they are antique to boot!

I know it’s difficult to see it but it’s the same mark as your other two, just sloppier. :)

    Most appreciated. I couldn't tell.

The description in the listing says “display vase” and “good condition”, I’d message them and ask if there is any chips, cracks or scratches before bidding. They don’t show the whole mouth of the piece.

@KikoBlueEyes I wonder what the shipping cost from Hong Kong is?

In the unlikely chance that I could get it, my guess is about $100 - $150 maybe more. With the buyer's premium of 25%, I won't be bidding much more than the initial bid if I bid at all. As I said at the beginning, this was more of a question about the mark than the potential of me acquiring a piece that is estimated at $3000-$6000.

From what I gather, they are all about the same age but I only heard they are all from the 1800's, which is a long time, so this one could be older. The common characteristics appear to be the hand carved incised lines, the gold flakes, the glass overlay, the matching color of the top and bottom ring, the mark and the shape. I seen smaller ones of the one up for auction with similar color and symbols. This one is much larger and I presume more rare, so the price is higher.
