    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    I don't know... Citrine is in the quartz range but I don't know enough to know. There may be other quartz stones that are that type of color. It's okay, though, in any case. Since I like the bracelet and all. There are lots of things I have that I don't know what they are.

    Edit: I looked up citrine beads just now and they might possibly be.

    Agreed! You found some beautiful things and that goes a long way. :)

    Found this little lovely a few days ago for 1 euro (along with a Victorian locket I picked up for another euro). Each round link (as well as the findings and once on a arrow-shaped chain end) is stamped with the Austro-Hungarian mark for import, 1872-1902. Then there are a few other marks I can't make out. Links are soldered.

    @Marko
    I really appreciate this post. I've been having a bad run of depression and self-doubt these last couple months, so it's nice to be reminded that I should look for the good things in life.

    Also, love the red beaded necklace!!

    Apologies if I sound overly forceful but... I think you were given incorrect information on the other forum. There is nothing about this that has the appearance of a Victorian hatpin holder. A modern cocktail pick holder is much more likely.

    It is 13 cm high by 9 cm long. And weights 264 gr.
    The holes are nearly 2 cm depth.

    You are probably right! So for it's age, it would be more like ...between two wars...!?

    The crazy part is I made myself one almost exactly like it, minus the metal pendant bits, a few years ago. Go figure.

    To my eye, it looks much more recent. Is the shell open?
