Weird pot with an armadillo maker's mark

    Bet that got your attention. ;)

    Bought this yesterday for the weird mark. It seems to read V Lobes and the thing underneath looks like a stylised armadillo. (!) Any clever clogs recognise it? Looks like granite clay.

    Kind of looks like an anteater to me or maybe even a hyena but that's no help. Actually if it's a circle missing the bottom part of the circle it could even be three pots or something. Are those words at the top do you think?

    On the curve of the "shell"? I don't think so - I did squint at them with a loupe but they don't look to be words. I'l get himself to take a look.
