Childs Rocking Chair

    Trying to get an idea of how old this rocking chair is. It was my grandmothers from when she was a child. She would be 79 this year, so I'm guessing that the chair is at least 70+ years old.

    I’m not sure but it looks like it’s been quite aggressively sanded.

    I'd put it at 1910-1915, but the level of craftsmanship makes it look more like a folk piece. For example, the back supports to which the arms are attached look like sawed-off broom handles.

    Could be as early as 1900 but were made for at least a couple decades.

    Not a Folk piece, standard production. Here's one in better condition. Couldn't link to the page as it is no longer listed.

    Thanks for the replies, guys. This is definitely very helpful. Really wanted to be able to tell anyone that asked about it a generalized idea of how old this chair is.

    This is how the chair looked before I started working on it and here is the finished product. Not perfect, but it's a 70-100+ year old chair and it definitely is better off than it was!
