Help with 1000 mark on a ring, please

    Hello all,
    First time I am ever seeing this mark. Is this our silver? Does anyone know anything about the mark. One place said it means plated. I have not scratched tested it yet

    Also wondering about age and/or origin of the ring. It looks vintage at least

    Any help is very much appreciated

    18k acid shows silver content. I don’t think plated. I didn’t scratch very hard. I hate scratch testing

    Think we're probably looking at the 1950s - early 60s on the mother of pearl cameo. When one profile is in front of the other this way, the composition is said to be 'jugate'. (Think 'conjugal'.) The helmeted figure in the foreground is Athena/Minerva; behind her is Aphrodite/Venus.
