what are these,lefty and righty hand tools

    both have ugly dried out rubber?,i was thinking about removing it.,,,cool well built farm tools?

    No clue. Look rough for skinning but can't even begin to think of building anything with them except maybe a canoe from a log but eve then...

    Can't tell from the photo... are the hook tips horn (like deer) or something other than wood?

    I'd leave the "rubber" alone. Original is always best.

    They are for lifting bales. The rubber is not normally seen. It was added for comfort.

    solid steel...was thinking maybe for cleaning a horses hoof?...downward motion with one,upward with the other??

    The kid in the middle....
    I was at a public pool a few miles from here when I was but a lad......I saw a kid with the same deformity ..but there was a little webbing between the digits.

    The sight stayed with me ever since.....

    Back when I was going to the reconstructive surgeon's office regularly, I ran into my sister's friend's brother there. He had lost his thumb and all but his pinky in an industrial mishap of some sort. The doctor had put the guy's big toe in place of the thumb so he could grasp things. Had it working perfectly.
