Thought someone may get a kick out of this. I thought it better to post it here rather than books as it’s not a proper book.

I started to read off the table of contents to my wife who was in a sour mood already...seemed like it might’ve been funny. I stopped about halfway through.

Maybe you should have read it first and followed the instructions. Maybe then she wouldn't have been in a sour mood;):shame:

The sour mood was not of my doing. As always I could be wrong.

Maybe not, but if you followed the instructions you might have taken her out of it.

From what I gather the book is more self serving, not significantly nurturing. I know it’s surprising.

I remember the days of being corrected on the use of Who and Whom. Not likely many care about that much now....

I love things like this. When I used to shop a large used book store regularly, I would now & then find some old manual pertaining to sexuality (only in marriage, of course) & grab it, knowing it would be an entertaining read. Usually written by a physician, with an introduction firmly stating the volume was written for the benefit of others in the medical profession & warning that it should not fall into lay hands. (Fear of being charged with obscenity, I suspect.) Over the years I have given them all away, mostly as gifts to doctors I knew would enjoy them.

How do you woo an authoress?

It's a lot of info to cram into 50 pages.

Where's the chapter on How to Domesticate a Young Lady?

Where does the author come down on the question of to marry or not to marry?

    An excellent post!
This book is so worn, it must have been read by a lot of bachelors... or only one who wooed (alliteration:p) all categories of women in the table of contents;):hilarious::hilarious:
