Featured Identify Trousse Eating Set

I am unsure if it is Chinese or Tibetan and also unsure of the age. I haven't been able to find anything like it online. As for the scabbard, knife handle and chopsticks, I'm not sure if its bone or ivory.

This has all been helpful. I definitely feel validated with my original assumptions.
I'm guessing early to mid 19th century age wise. (But this is only a guess)

 

I was pretty sure that 2 of the symbols were for happiness and longevity... but the 3rd symbol has me puzzeled. It almost looks bird like.....

And the bat is also for longevity. As a Chinese person once said to me, Chinese symbols are all about either good fortune or longevity, or both. Not entirely true, but close enough.
The dragons on the case are chasing the pearl of wisdom. All in all an auspicious set, as it should be. Bon appetit.

I'd say more like late 1800's.......

 

The blade looks like it was made from a broken bayonet,no reason for an eating knife to have a deep fuller.

 

Unless you have to kill your meat before you eat it...........

 

Right around the time of the Boxer Rebellion. China went through a lot of upheaval during that time. The Qing Dynasty had required these to be carried. I would be surprised if many of the more intricately worked pieces were destroyed.

 

well...it is just a knife and fork...for eating with....& I've seen many that were functional...and highly decorated...
