Asian Wooden Lacquered Carving

    Pretty damaged and looks like the man's hat was cut off?
    Wonder if there could be some age or it was just exposed to bad conditions.

    That's what happens when we get old. LOL Crack and crumble. Looks like his belly and hat (and the lacquer coating) took the brunt of being knocked over a million times.

    The old couple IS sweet!

    I would think it would have more carved detail if it were old. Maybe this is a tourist piece c. 1940-60?
