Don't try to send them across an international border.

Here is a great response..visit the ATF website if you want more clarification, but no license is needed to sell ammunition, whether as a private sale (selling your stash) or as a business. the only ammo you must have a license to sell is your own reloads or handloads, as that's considered manufacturing ammo for sale.

There is a lot of this same stuff in completeds on gunbroker - mostly around $25-30 per box

Thank you all ccr, Terry, fid, Bob, deradler1 & af for the great help & education.:) I ran into the gentleman last night and he wanted them, so they now have a new home. I learned so much, and will now be better educated for the next time I run across something like these! You all are the best.

I hope you got at least $25, my initial estimate of $50 was a bit optimistic.

Ehh, no, but close enough. I didn't ask much, I was sort of afraid to have them around, so I was happy to see them go! I'm nervous about things like that.:bucktooth: Thanks again for all the help.:)

Uh....NO! What you have is 8x50 Steyr Mannlicher ammunition. NOT the same as 8mm Mauser. The bullet is 8.15mm instead of the 7.92mm for the Mauser rifle. Not only that the case is shorter and has a distinctive rim which the 8x57 round does not (8x57 has a semi-rebated rim)
